We’re celebrating the classics! For our 40th anniversary, our beloved historical characters return in their signature look with accessories and a book, plus packaging inspired by the original box design. Compassionate Josefina Montoya lives on a rancho in New Mexico in 1824, just after Mexico won independence from Spain. Josefina was released in 1997, one of the first eight dolls introduced by Pleasant Company, now American Girl.

Premium features:
  • An 18" Josefina™ doll in a white camisa with short puffed sleeves edged with lace, a vibrant red skirt the color of sundried chiles and peppered with little black blossoms, a woven brown sash that ties in the back, and a metal pendant necklace with a faux-garnet gemstone
  • She has golden hoop earrings and brown eyes, and her mahogany-colored hair comes styled in a long braid. She has a soft cotton body, and her movable head and limbs are made of smooth vinyl.
